The Bassenthwaite Ospreys are wild birds that chose each year to nest in the forest overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake in North West Cumbria.

The Dodd Wood Viewpoint and Whinlatter Exhibition sites are both closed over the winter.

Whinlatter Visitor Centre and Dodd Cafe will continue to be open their normal hours.

The Exhibition and Viewpoint will reopen in April 2008

The Lake District Osprey Project provides both an open air viewpoint and indoor exhibition with live video pictures for visitors from April to September annually.

Click on a tab above to find out more about the exciting ways you can see the Ospreys.
